The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is planning to establish a Regional Disaster Response Command and Logistics Center within the Clark Aviation Capital complex, aiming to strengthen emergency response capabilities in Central Luzon.
According to Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) president Jojit Alcazar, the proposed facility will serve as a key storage and distribution site for relief goods and emergency supplies, allowing quicker deployment during calamities.
“This logistics hub will ensure faster and more effective DSWD operations during emergencies in Central Luzon,” Alcazar said.
The center will occupy one hectare inside the CIAC-managed Clark Civil Aviation Complex, aligning with broader efforts to position Clark as a leading logistics hub.
Clark already hosts several national agencies and disaster response assets, including the Philippine Disaster Recovery Foundation, the National Government Administrative Center, and the Integrated Operations Center for Disaster Response Management.
The initiative complements ongoing efforts to bolster regional resilience and disaster readiness through improved infrastructure and strategic positioning of response resources.
