House speaker vows to consult business on legislative bills

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez has assured the country’s business sector that the House of Representatives would consult the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), the country’s largest business organization when crafting laws related to trade and commerce as he vowed to hear all relevant stakeholders before passing legislation at the PCCI General Membership Meeting last August 4 at Makati Diamond Residences in Makati City, according to a report by BusinessMirror.

Romualdez also encouraged the business organization to make its position very clear on these issues and committed. The leadership of the House of Representatives assured PCCI of the passage, before yearend, of priority bills that business groups have been pushing to boost the economy and hasten recovery from the pandemic.
