Entalula Beach in El Nido, Palawan has been recognized as the best beach in Asia and the second-best in the world, according to the 2024 edition of The World’s 50 Best Beaches. The list, curated by international travel experts, highlights top beach destinations for their natural beauty, experience, and sustainability.
Located in the western Philippine province of Palawan, Entalula is celebrated for its powdery white sand, turquoise waters, dramatic limestone cliffs, and seclusion. Accessible only by boat, the beach is part of the Bacuit Archipelago and remains largely untouched by mass tourism.
The global ranking praised Entalula’s “unspoiled charm” and vibrant marine life, noting its appeal to snorkelers and divers. The surrounding coral gardens and dive sites are home to turtles, dolphins, reef sharks, and diverse tropical fish.
Local tourism officials welcomed the international recognition, saying it affirms the country’s status as a top-tier beach destination. They added that sustainable tourism practices will be key to preserving the island’s natural environment.
This latest accolade adds to Palawan’s growing reputation in global travel rankings. The Philippines, an archipelago of over 7,600 islands, continues to attract tourists with its mix of pristine beaches, lush landscapes, and rich biodiversity.
