3.2-KM Road in Pilar, Bataan widened to 4 lanes

Motorists are now utilizing a newly-widened 3.2-kilometer portion of Gov. JJ Linao Road in the municipality of Pilar, Bataan Province.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bataan 2nd District Engineering Office reported the completion of the P96.5-Million road widening project starting at Barangay Nagwaling to Barangay Diwa, Pilar for Segment 1 and portion at Barangay Liyang, Pilar for Segment 2.

“The entire 3.2 kilometer stretch of Gov. JJ Linao Road which used to be a narrow 2-lane road now has four (4) lanes and offers unobstructed scenic driving experience to motorists in this area of the Bataan,” said DPWH Secretary Mark Villar.

Secretary Villar added that with better mobility, the widened road supports the economic and tourism development programs of the province with its rich natural resources and agro-industrial areas.

According to Senior Undersecretary for Luzon Operations Rafael C. Yabut, Gov. J.J. Linao Road serves as the main road coming from Balanga going to tourist destinations in the coastal parts of Bagac town

Gov. J.J. Linao Road is a national secondary road that runs through the Municipalities of Pilar and Bagac, in Bataan. (DPWH)
