Gov't expands housing program with new project in Pulila

The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), in partnership with AVECS Corporation and the local government of Bulacan, has announced the development of 1,000 housing units in Pulilan. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) for this initiative was signed on October 16, marking a significant step in the government’s commitment to providing affordable housing under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

This new project, named Mom’s Ville Phase I, will feature the construction of eight five-story condominium buildings, each housing 135 units. Located in Barangay Peñabatan, the development aims to benefit a diverse group of residents, including workers from both the informal and formal sectors, public school teachers, and government employees.

SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa emphasized the importance of this partnership, describing it as a major milestone in the corporation’s mission to deliver affordable housing solutions to Filipino families. Laxa expressed optimism about the project's success, citing strong support from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD). “We are confident that we will successfully deliver these housing units to the beneficiaries of Pulilan,” he stated.

Pulilan Mayor Maria Rosario Ochoa-Montejo expressed her appreciation for the project and committed to working closely with SHFC to ensure its success. “I assure you we will collaborate with you,” she said. “Whatever your needs for this project, I will do my best to facilitate everything so that you will not encounter any difficulties.”

AVECS Corporation President Celestino Baldonado also voiced his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its potential to improve the lives of Bulaceños. He assured timely and successful completion of the housing units.

As part of the initiative, SHFC and the Pulilan government signed a deed donating 20,000 square meters of land for the housing project. Additionally, another MOU was signed to facilitate site development and provide housing construction loans through the Community Guided Financing (CGF) program.

Currently, SHFC is undertaking 12 housing projects under the 4PH program across various locations, contributing to a larger goal of delivering over 505,000 housing units by 2028. This expansion into Pulilan reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to addressing the housing needs of its citizens.
