In response to the alarming surge of dengue cases, with Barangay Carmen ranking highest in reported incidents, Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO), through its corporate social responsibility arm, the ICCP Group Foundation, Inc. (IGFI), has implemented proactive measures to combat the spread of the disease through a comprehensive dengue prevention campaign.
Conducted in partnership with the Local Government Unit and the City Health Office, the initiative focuses on the effective implementation of the 5S Strategy: Searching and destroying mosquito-breeding sites, Self-protection measures, Seeking early consultation, Supporting fogging for impending outbreaks, and Sustaining hydration within the community.
As part of this effort, PDO and IGFI have distributed Dengue NS1 Antigen Test Kits to each host community, enabling swift detection and response to potential outbreaks. This intervention aims not only to prevent but also to eradicate the breeding grounds of dengue-causing mosquitoes, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
"We are committed to supporting the health and well-being of our communities," said Chrysler Acebu, Vice President & General Manager, Mindanao Operations of Pueblo de Oro. "By collaborating closely with local authorities and health organizations, we aim to strengthen the city's defenses against dengue and ensure a safer environment for all residents."
In its thirty years of developing and offering high-quality, meticulously designed, master-planned communities and distinctive homes, Pueblo de Oro is also committed to education, healthcare, economic improvement, and environmental sustainability for its residents and the communities in which they operate.
