Batangas, propelled by its vibrant industries and economic strength, experienced an impressive economic turnaround post-pandemic, surging from a decline of -14.4% in 2020 to a growth rate of 12.5% in 2021.
Since then, this Southern Luzon province has emerged as a key gateway to trade and progress with infrastructures such as the Batangas International Port and Batangas City International Container Terminal where the movement of goods both from local and foreign sources take place.
Batangas also possesses a diverse economic landscape which contributes to the province’s growth. Economic zones in Batangas City, Lipa City, and Sto. Tomas City provide not only globally competitive outputs but also investment interests for both local and international investors.
Beyond the economic potential of Batangas, the province’s tourism sector is also seen as a driving factor to boost the province further. In an interview in November last year, Batangas Governor Hermilando Mandanas highlighted the province’s star attractions such as the Verde Island Passage, Taal Volcano, and Taal Basilica. Focus on industries like commercial fishing and communications technology is also seen to be big contributors to the province’s advancement.
The real estate sector of Batangas is also experiencing an upswing with real estate companies developing residential areas for people who want to own property in the province. Road expansions and improvements in transportation as well as mobility make Batangas a sought-after location for real estate investments.
With locations in Lipa, Malvar, and Sto. Tomas, Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation (PDO) has catered to customers who want to make Batangas their home. 2023 saw a ramped-up demand for PDO's real estate projects, ending the year with over P1 billion in sales reservations for their Sto. Tomas and Malvar projects alone.
Last December, the company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 10-hectare Pueblo de Oro Courtyards Lipa, an exclusive subdivision that is set to offer not just residences but a holistic living experience blending modern conveniences with the charm of the local culture.
The event, attended by Lipa City Mayor Eric Africa, signals Pueblo de Oro’s desire to deliver the ‘gold standard in community living” to the Lipeños and redefine the cityscape of Lipa.
Pueblo de Oro Courtyards Lipa is poised to become a center of urban living, embodying the developer's commitment to creating sustainable, well-planned communities that enhance the quality of life for its residents.
The project is part of the P3.5-billion investment that Pueblo de Oro has earmarked in the province of Batangas for 2024.
