The provincial government of Northern Samar has introduced two new tourism circuits aimed at showcasing the region's rich agricultural and marine resources. The new offerings, dubbed the "Fun Farm Tour" and the "Seafood Tour," join the province's existing four tour circuits, providing visitors with a broader array of experiences in this scenic part of the Philippines.

The Fun Farm Tour encompasses the towns of Mondragon, Silvino Lubos, San Roque, and Pambujan. This tour highlights Northern Samar’s vibrant agricultural landscape, offering visitors unique experiences such as garden-to-table food tastings, interactive farming and food processing tours, and the opportunity to participate in homestays with local farmers. The tour is designed to immerse visitors in the province's innovative farming practices and showcase the bounty of its agricultural produce.

On the other hand, the Seafood Tour features the towns of San Jose and Rosario, areas renowned for their fresh and exquisite seafood. Tourists can indulge in the region’s famed mud crabs, fresh fish, spider shells (sahang), squid, shrimp, and other marine delicacies. The tour also offers diving and fishing activities, as well as an ocean-to-table food tasting experience, allowing visitors to savor the freshness of the local catch.

"The development and promotion of tourism circuits is only one of the many initiatives of the provincial government under Governor Edwin Ongchuan to foster tourism, livelihood, and economic development in Northern Samar," the local government said in a statement.

These new circuits build on Northern Samar's existing tourism offerings, which include the Balicuatro Island Hopping Tour, the Eco-tour of Lavezares and Biri, the River Cruise in the towns of Catubig, Las Navas, and Laoang, and the Pacific Tour encompassing the towns of Palapag, Mapanas, Gamay, and Lapinig—all of which highlight the province’s natural beauty and cultural heritage.

With its extensive coastlines and rich marine biodiversity, Northern Samar is positioning itself as a prime diving destination in Eastern Visayas. Surrounded by the San Bernardino Strait, Samar Sea, and the Pacific Ocean, the province is home to 24 towns, most of which are coastal areas, including popular tourist spots like the islands of Biri, Capul, San Antonio, and San Vicente.

As Northern Samar continues to develop its tourism infrastructure, these new circuits are expected to attract more visitors and boost the local economy, further cementing the province’s reputation as a must-visit destination in the Philippines.
