Filipino Homes has expanded its reach to the United Arab Emirates after its founder obtained a property broker license in Dubai, according to a report by Manila Times.
The real estate solutions portal said that through international arm FHI Global Properties, it would now be able to engage in property transactions in the emirate.
"This is a milestone for Filipino Homes," founder and CEO Anthony Gerard Leuterio said.
"Now that I am a licensed broker in Dubai, we are opening up legitimate, professional opportunities for cross-selling."
Leuterio said there was growing demand for Dubai properties, especially among foreign investors seeking benefits like the UAE Golden Visa.
"A lot of foreigners and Filipinos want to invest in Dubai but don't know brokers who are licensed there. Now, through FHI Global Properties, they have a trusted, Filipino-owned agency they can rely on."
Filipino Homes opened its first physical office in Dubai in January this year after the company secured a UAE trade license.
The company's expansion is expected to enable Philippine-based brokers to take part in international transactions, increasing its clientele and income potential by offering a new career path for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) based in Dubai.
"Filipino Homes is ready to facilitate business both ways — selling Dubai properties in the Philippines and Philippine properties to Dubai-based investors," Leuterio said.
He also noted the importance of bringing Dubai's advanced real estate technologies and systems back home "to bring that experience and innovation to the Philippines so we can compete internationally."
