The Philippines’ finest real estate brought home the gold from the 13th PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards in festive ceremonies today at Shangri-La, The Fort, where nearly 70 golden statuettes were presented to more than 30 outstanding, sustainably-driven developers from across the archipelago.
Robinsons Land bested all nominees to win Best Developer, its fourth consecutive win in this prestigious category. Also hailed the year’s Best Luxury Developer and Best Sustainable Developer, Robinsons Land garnered wins for such projects as The Mall | NUSTAR; work.able GBF Center 1; and The Victor at Bridgetowne.
Lance Y. Gokongwei, chairman of Robinsons Land Corporation, received the first-ever Life Achievement Award at the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards for decades-long efforts that include portfolio expansions and significant investments in renewable energy.
RLC Residences, the company’s residential development arm, received winning titles for projects like Sync and The Residences at The Westin Manila. Robinsons Offices, honoured as Best Commercial Developer, won three titles across the projects GBF Centers 1 & 2 while Robinsons Hotels and Resorts was recognised for having the Best Operational Hospitality Portfolio, an impressive range of assets that includes winning development Fili Hotel Bridgetowne.
The Velaris Residences North Tower, a joint venture between Robinsons Land and Hongkong Land, earned Best Condo Development (Philippines), among other winning titles. Agriya Gardens by Damosa Land, Inc. won two titles, including Best%u202FHousing Development%u202F(Philippines).
Damosa Land, Inc., winner of Best Boutique Developer, ranks among the victorious honourees from Mindanao this year. In addition to Agriya Gardens, the Davao-based developer won for the projects Kahi Estates and Bridgeport Park. Davao-based developer Alsons Development and Investment Corporation also won honours for Avia Estate and Narra Park Residences Avia.
Cebu Landmasters, Inc. took home titles for Best Developer (Mindanao) and Best Developer (Visayas), supported by wins for developments throughout the islands. Also hailed Best Housing Developer, Cebu Landmasters, Inc. gained wins for the projects Mivela Garden Residences; Casa Mira Towers LPU Davao; and Velmiro Plains Bacolod.
Cebu-based developer Johndorf Ventures Corporation debuted at the Awards this year with a wide array of wins across the projects Johndorf Tower and Plumera Mactan. Benedict Ventures, Inc., another Cebuano developer, received wins for BE Uptown Park and The BE Group Corporate Office.
The PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards also recognised top developers across Luzon, particularly in Batangas province, home to many of the year’s award-winning projects. Robinsons Land won Best Developer (Luzon) while Fiesta Communities Incorporated was named Best Affordable Housing Developer, buoyed by winning Luzon projects Fiesta Communities Aguso and Kaya Homes.
Hailed Best Industrial Developer, Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates earned wins for the central Luzon projects LIMA Estate; Biz Hub at LIMA Estate; and LIMA Tower One. Aboitiz Land, Inc., also part of Aboitiz Group, won for the Batangas project Seafront Residences.
This year’s Real Estate Personality of the Year award was presented to Rafael Fernandez de Mesa, president and CEO of Aboitiz Land, Inc. and head of Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates, for leading the development of smart and sustainable, industrial-anchored, mixed-use developments across the nation. A champion of climate-conscious urban planning with a strong background in infrastructure development, he has pioneered greenbelt initiatives and promoted job creation and regional development in partnership with ecozone authorities.
Pueblo de Oro Development Corporation won for PDO Courtyards Lipa, also in Batangas. Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation similarly won for Tierra Lorenzo Lipa - Merano Tower and Dusit Princess Lipa City.
SM Prime won accolades for the Batangas projects Trealva at Midlands West by Highlands Prime, Inc. and Pico Terraces by Costa del Hamilo, Inc. Additionally, SMDC Symphony Homes garnered winning titles for Sunnyhomes and Sunnyvale 1. In Metro Manila, SM Estates won Best Township Development for the SM Mall of Asia Complex.
Jessica Bianca T. Sy, VP and head of design, innovation, and strategy at SM Prime & SMDC, was honoured with this year’s Rising Star award, following her assumption of a more senior leadership role at the SM Group and her recognition last year as part of the PropertyGuru Power Women of 2024.
In addition to winning Best Breakthrough Developer, Primehomes Real Estate Development, Inc. won for Primehomes Capitol Hills, also in Metro Manila. Other winning projects in Metro Manila include Residences at the Galleon by Ortigas Land and The Suites at Torre Lorenzo Malate by Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation.
This year’s PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards also celebrated companies that have gone above and beyond ESG standards and practices in real estate. RLC Residences won both the Sustainable Design and Energy Efficiency awards while RLove by Robinsons Land Foundation, Inc. won the Social Impact Award. I-Land, Inc. also received the Sustainable Design Award, in addition to a golden statuette for I-Land Residences Sucat.
