BOI reports success of Brisbane investment roadshow

The Board of Investments (BOI) reported strong investor interest during the Brisbane leg of its Australian investment promotion roadshow, held from September 2 to 5.

The campaign, organized in partnership with the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Philippines (ANZCHAM) and Philippine Investment Promotion Agencies, targeted Australia’s expanding technology and services sectors.

According to the BOI, presentations drew inquiries from companies involved in data centers, agriculture, education, training, healthcare, game development, and cybersecurity. Interest also came from firms in renewable energy, mining equipment, rubber auto parts, and battery energy storage systems, as well as internship cooperation programs.

The BOI said it plans to build on these engagements by pursuing new partnerships and opportunities aligned with Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. Officials noted that Australia’s push to deepen ties with the region provides a timely platform for strengthening bilateral investment flows.
