Azela Torrefranca Esponilla Honor emerges as a beacon of excellence in Philippine real estate—...
Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) has acquired a 79-hectare property in Liloan, Cebu to develop what will become the province’s largest integrated township, further expanding its presence in the Visayas and Mindanao.
The acquisition was made through Cebu Homegrown Developers Inc. (CHDI), a joint venture subsidiary formed with Ixidor Holdings Inc. CLI said the project will substantially deepen its Cebu footprint and reinforce its pipeline of future developments.
Planned as a masterplanned estate, the Liloan township will feature a mix of residential communities, commercial centers, and modern infrastructure integrated with sustainable open spaces. CLI said the project is designed to provide economic, social, and environmental benefits, in line with its mission of developing regional growth hubs.
“This acquisition substantially deepens our Cebu footprint and advances our mission to create leading townships in the VisMin region, following the success of the Davao Global Township in Davao City and Manresa Town in Cagayan de Oro City,” CLI chairman and CEO Jose Soberano III said.
Market analysts point out that Liloan has emerged as a strategic growth corridor in Metro Cebu, benefitting from infrastructure upgrades such as the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) and the proposed Metro Cebu Expressway. These projects, combined with strong demand from local buyers and overseas Filipino workers, are fueling sustained interest in housing and mixed-use estates in the area.
The township will be the largest project of its kind in Cebu and is expected to generate thousands of jobs during its construction phase while providing long-term employment opportunities in retail, commercial, and hospitality operations once completed.
CLI currently has 127 projects across 18 key cities in the Visayas and Mindanao, covering residential, mixed-use, hotel, resort, and township developments. For the second half of 2025, the company has lined up 12 new projects worth %u20B129 billion in Cebu, Davao, General Santos, Ormoc, and Palawan.
The developer emphasized that its partnership with Ixidor Holdings through CHDI will ensure that the Liloan township is delivered with scale, sustainability, and long-term value in mind. “Together with Ixidor Holdings, our trusted partner, we are committed to creating a model Cebuano township that is built for the future,” Soberano said.
