Makati City is set to welcome the country’s first Canopy by Hilton, a lifestyle hotel brand known for stylish, locally connected stays, when it opens at the One Ayala development in 2026.
The upcoming 24-story property will feature 400 contemporary rooms and suites designed to reflect Manila’s creative and cultural energy. Amenities will include a destination restaurant, a rooftop bar overlooking the city skyline, and a speakeasy-style venue, envisioned as hubs for dining, nightlife, and cultural events.
Globally, Canopy by Hilton operates more than 40 hotels across 14 countries and territories, with another 40 in the pipeline. Each property is tailored to its surroundings, blending modern hospitality with a sense of place.
Hilton executives described the Philippine launch as a significant milestone. “Metro Manila is ripe for a fresh perspective on hospitality, and we believe Canopy’s lifestyle approach will resonate with both local and international guests,” said Maria Ariizumi, Hilton’s Vice President for Development in Southeast Asia.
Ayala Land Hospitality, Hilton’s local partner, emphasized the development’s role in boosting tourism and shaping Manila as a must-visit destination. “It’s not just about adding rooms—it’s about creating stays that spark curiosity and celebrate Filipino creativity,” said George Aquino, President and CEO of Ayala Land Hospitality.
Set at the bustling junction of culture, commerce, and transit at One Ayala, the project is expected to redefine the lifestyle hospitality experience in the city once completed.
