DHSUD seeks developers support for national housing program

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) is calling on members of the Chamber of Real Estate Builders’ Association Inc. (CREBA) to increase their support for the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH), the government’s flagship housing program.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar made the plea during CREBA’s Annual National Convention in Clark, Pampanga. He praised the event for its forward-thinking approach and its promotion of resiliency and inclusivity in the housing sector.

Acuzar acknowledged that partner-developers face challenges in implementing the 4PH program but expressed confidence in their ability to produce more housing units to contribute to the government’s goal of addressing the country’s housing gap.

“The government cannot achieve this alone,” Acuzar said. “We need the support of all stakeholders, including private partners like CREBA and other developers’ groups. Now more than ever, we must work together, collaborate, and continuously engage to ensure our efforts complement each other.”

“Let us turn these challenges into opportunities to achieve our shared goal of providing safe, decent, and affordable housing to Filipinos in sustainable communities,” he said.

Acuzar lauded CREBA for ongoing efforts to collaborate with the administration in addressing the housing needs of Filipinos.
