International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest flexible workspace provider, is set to open its first Regus center in Bohol this October, as part of an aggressive expansion that includes 14 newly signed locations across the Philippines.
The Tagbilaran-based site will mark IWG’s entry into one of the country’s fastest-growing regional economies. The move is part of the company’s nationwide goal of operating 50 Philippine centers by the end of 2025.
IWG currently manages 39 centers under various brands, including Regus, Spaces, Signature, and HQ. The upcoming Bohol center will feature coworking spaces, private offices, and meeting rooms, targeting professionals, startups, and businesses in sectors like tourism, tech, and business process management.
The expansion aligns with increased demand for hybrid and platform working, with companies offering employees access to workspaces outside traditional office hubs.
In addition to Bohol, the 14 new IWG sites include locations in Cebu, Cavite, Quezon City, San Juan, and General Santos City. Some are already operational, while others are set to open in late 2025 and early 2026.
IWG Country Manager Rowena Bravo-Natividad said demand is strongest in areas outside Metro Manila, driven by businesses seeking flexibility and better access to talent. “Companies are looking for greater accessibility and quality, especially in fast-growing areas,” she said.
Tagbilaran’s strategic location—near Panglao Island and the upgraded Bohol-Panglao International Airport—makes it a key target for regional expansion. Government data show Bohol’s economy grew by 6.6% in 2024, with the services sector making up nearly three-quarters of total output.
The upcoming Bohol launch follows the company's global record in 2024, with IWG signing 899 new locations worldwide. The firm expects 30% of all commercial real estate to become flexible workspace by 2030.
