BCDA partners with PhilTower for enhanced connectivity

The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has entered into a partnership with PhilTower MIDC to enhance digital connectivity in its prime properties, including Bonifacio Global City, New Clark City, and Morong Discovery Park.

A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed on January 21, with PhilTower MIDC committing to install common telecommunications towers across BCDA-managed areas. PhilTower MIDC is a joint venture between Miescor Infrastructure Development Corporation and Phil-Tower Consortium Inc.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua Bingcang highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating, “PhilTower MIDC, with its comprehensive portfolio and deep industry knowledge, is uniquely positioned to support BCDA’s ambition to drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainability within the country’s digital infrastructure. This collaboration will position the Philippines at the forefront of Southeast Asia’s digital revolution.”

PhilTower has already deployed rooftop infrastructure at BCDA sites like the Government Building and the National Academy of Sports, enabling major telecom providers Globe and Smart to enhance network capabilities.

PhilTower MIDC President and CEO Devid Gubiani echoed the optimism, saying, “It is a privilege to collaborate with BCDA, an organization that shares our vision of harnessing digital technology as a transformative force. This partnership will not only boost connectivity but also drive socio-economic growth in critical hubs like Bonifacio Global City and New Clark City.”

The collaboration underscores the BCDA's commitment to advancing digital infrastructure and fostering innovation in strategic areas.
