According to Light Rail Manila Corp. spokesperson Jacqueline Gorospe, the LRT Line 1 Cavite Extension project's first phase is expected to start running by the end of 2024, according to a report by Manila Standard.

As of the end of June 2023, the project's overall progress rate had reached 80 percent. The target date for LRT Cavite Phase 1's start of operations is the fourth quarter of 2024, with Redemptorist Station, MIA Station, Asiaworld Station, Ninoy Aquino Station, and Dr. Santos Station included in Phase 1's 7-kilometer stretch of the 11-kilometer LRT-1 Cavite Extension.

The remaining stations along the Las Piñas to Niog route are anticipated to become fully operational by 2027. The LRT-1 Cavite Extension Project, which spans 11.7 kilometers and includes eight stations, will link Baclaran in Parañaque City to Bacoor, Cavite.
