OFBank, CFO boost partnership

The Overseas Filipino Bank (OFBank) and the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) met on May 2, 2025 to strengthen their collaboration in providing accessible, technology-driven financial services and support to Filipinos living and working abroad, according to a report by Manila Standard.

The meeting, led by CFO chairperson Dante Francis Ang II and OFBank officer-in-charge and president Elcid Pangilinan, focused on aligning efforts to empower overseas Filipinos through financial education, digital banking access and livelihood opportunities.

Ang cited the CFO’s ongoing efforts to assist Filipinos abroad, emphasizing the importance of financial education and access for reintegration and long-term resilience. He stressed the need for strong partnerships to help overseas Filipinos manage their finances and contribute to the Philippine economy.

Pangilinan outlined OFBank’s innovative solutions as the nation’s first digital-only, branchless bank. “By embracing and leveraging technology, OFBank is bridging the gap between overseas Filipinos and their financial needs,” Pangilinan said.

“We are making it easier for them to secure their future, support their families and build lasting financial stability – no matter where they are in the world,” he said.
