PEZA promotes agri logistics to Dutch investors

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Acting Group Manager, Rowena T. Naguit, delivered a key address to the Dutch Business Delegation at an event held on October 2, 2024, at the Manila Hotel.

Organized in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry and the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, led by Executive Director Mitchel Smolders, the gathering aimed to strengthen business relations and encourage Dutch investments in the Philippines’ Agri Logistics sector.

During her presentation, Naguit highlighted the promising opportunities within PEZA’s economic zones, emphasizing the recent improvements resulting from the ratification of the CREATE MORE bill.

She explained how these new terms are designed to create a more attractive and competitive environment for foreign investments, streamlining processes, and reducing barriers to doing business in the country.

Naguit underscored the role of PEZA ecozones as crucial hubs for growth in the logistics and agricultural sectors, offering fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to attract global players.

She invited the Dutch investors to explore collaborative projects that could enhance the efficiency of agricultural supply chains and logistics in the Philippines, aligning with the country’s goal to modernize its agricultural industry.

The event drew key stakeholders from the Netherlands, aiming to forge new partnerships that will leverage the Philippines' strategic location in Southeast Asia.

Discussions centered on potential investments in cold chain logistics, warehousing, and technology-driven solutions to improve the supply chain for agricultural products. Naguit stressed that such investments would not only boost the local economy but also position the Philippines as a leader in Agri Logistics in the region.
