Robinsons Land triumphs again at 12th PropertyGuru philippines property awards

MANILA, Philippines — The 12th Annual PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards, a prestigious event celebrating the best in real estate development, design, and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) excellence, was held at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila. The gala evening saw top developers from across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao come together to recognize the industry's outstanding contributions to the built environment in over 80 categories, ranging from luxury high-rises to affordable housing solutions.

Robinsons Land emerged as the star of the night, winning the coveted Best Developer award for the third consecutive year. The company’s achievements also extended to Best Developer (Luzon), showcasing the strength and consistency of their projects. RLC Residences, a division of Robinsons Land, took home several accolades, including Best Branded Residential Development for The Residences at The Westin Manila and Best Wellness Residential Development, further underscoring the firm’s commitment to creating innovative, high-quality living spaces.

Robinsons Offices also shone, securing the Best Office Architectural Design and Best Office Interior Design awards for GBF Center 1. The company's other developments, Cybergate Iloilo Tower 3 and work.able Robinsons Summit Center, earned recognition as Best BPO Office Development and Best Co-Working Space, respectively.

The 2024 ceremony marked a milestone for the PropertyGuru Awards with the introduction of the inaugural ESG Developer Awards, reflecting the growing importance of sustainability and social impact in real estate. Alveo Land claimed the first-ever Social Impact Award, while PrimaryHomes, Inc. won the Sustainable Construction Award. Megaworld Corporation, a dominant force throughout the event, was honored with the inaugural Sustainable Design Award and Energy Efficiency Award. In addition to these ESG accolades, Megaworld secured Best Developer (Visayas), Best Mixed-Use Developer, and Best Hospitality Developer, among numerous other project-specific awards.

Megaworld’s portfolio saw multiple projects lauded, including Maple Grove Park Village, which was named Best Housing Development (Philippines). Other distinguished projects from the company included Chelsea Parkplace, Firenze Residences, and the International Finance Center, further solidifying Megaworld’s position as one of the country's top developers.

Federal Land, Inc. also made a strong showing, winning the title of Best Luxury Developer. The company’s Riverpark development earned awards for Best Township Development and Best Township Masterplan Design, while its subsidiary, Sunshine Fort North Bonifacio Realty Development Corporation, received accolades for The Seasons Residences and Mitsukoshi BGC.

Cebu Landmasters, Inc., another major player, was recognized as Best Developer (Mindanao), while Ayala Land, Inc. made a noteworthy return as Best Sustainable Developer, boosted by wins for Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2. Alveo Land, an Ayala subsidiary, added to the group’s honors with awards for its Viento at Cerca and Cerule at Solinea developments.

Newcomers and smaller players also made their mark at this year's awards. Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates was named Best Industrial Developer for its massive LIMA Estate project, while Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation won Best Boutique Developer for its Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort and Torre Lorenzo Loyola. First-time contender Landco Pacific Corporation received awards for The Residences at Terrazas de Punta Fuego and The Spinnaker.

PH1 World Developers also stood out, taking home awards for several projects, including Modan Lofts Ortigas Hills and Northscapes San Jose Del Monte. These wins highlighted the diversity of projects recognized by the PropertyGuru Awards, from luxury urban condos to suburban housing developments and eco-friendly townships.

The night also honored individual achievements, with Manuel V. Pangilinan, chairman and CEO of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation, named Philippines Real Estate Personality of the Year. Mariana Beatriz Zobel de Ayala of Ayala Land, Inc. was recognized as this year's Rising Star, a reflection of the emerging leadership shaping the future of the industry.

Jules Kay, general manager of PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards and Events, lauded the winners for their contributions to the Philippine real estate sector. "The caliber of entries this year reflects the remarkable growth of the Philippine economy and the real estate industry’s ability to adapt to the needs of a rapidly evolving market," Kay said.

Cyndy Tan Jarabata, chairperson of the independent judging panel, emphasized the quality of submissions from developers across the country. "We saw outstanding levels of participation from all corners of the Philippines, which underscores the commitment of developers to set new benchmarks for excellence in design, construction, and sustainability," she noted.

Top winners from the event will go on to compete at the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final in Bangkok, where they will vie for regional honors in December. The PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards continue to be a platform for recognizing the very best in the nation’s real estate, pushing the industry towards greater innovation and sustainability.
