Two multistory housing projects under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program are set to be developed in Novaliches, Quezon City. This initiative comes as the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), an agency of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), broke ground for Pascualer 7 in Barangay San Bartolome and Pascualer 10 in Barangay San Agustin on April 6.

SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa and Quezon City 5th District Rep. Patrick Michael “PM” Vargas led the ceremonies. Pascualer 7, a seven-story housing project, is expected to benefit about 300 families. Meanwhile, Pascualer 10, consisting of two 14-story and one 10-story buildings, will accommodate over 1,000 families.

“These projects signify our unwavering dedication to leaving no family behind, ensuring that every Filipino has access to decent and affordable housing under the 4PH, the flagship initiative of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,” said Laxa. “With the leadership of DHSUD Sec. Jerry Acuzar, we at SHFC are steadfast in bridging this gap and fostering vibrant, inclusive communities where every Filipino can thrive.”

Mirroring the approach of SHFC’s other 4PH projects, Pascualer 7 and Pascualer 10 are strategically situated in central locations, providing easy access to essential amenities such as markets, hospitals, and schools. These developments are also poised to create employment opportunities and reduce commuting burdens for future residents. Both projects will be constructed by Performance Builders and Developers Corporation.

Vargas emphasized the transformative impact of these two housing projects on his constituents. “We are not just building homes; we are building brighter futures for those in need of shelter in the city,” he said. “Together with SHFC led by President Laxa, we are making a difference and ensuring that every family has a place to call home.”

Representing Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, Atty. Jojo Conejero of the local Housing Community Development and Resettlement Department extended gratitude to SHFC for prioritizing the development of these projects and pledged support for future housing initiatives of the agency within the city.

Councilors Alfred Vargas, Aiko Melendez, Ram Medalla, and Joseph Visaya, and Barangay Captain Fabio Ortega were present at the event. SHFC Executive Vice President Atty. Junefe Payot, and Resettlement Services Group Vice President Bob Flores also graced the occasion.

Construction is in full swing for SHFC’s 4PH projects in San Fernando City, Pampanga, Davao City, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, Tondo and San Miguel districts in Manila, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Additionally, there are over 100 projects in the 4PH pipeline, which is projected to yield as many as 415,000 units.
