A Tagaytay-based hotel has underscored the role of digital infrastructure in delivering quality guest experiences, reflecting broader trends in the country’s hospitality sector where technology is being leveraged to sustain service excellence and tourism growth.
Hotel Casiana, located along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu highway, has adopted digital tools to streamline operations and enhance guest satisfaction. The property has partnered with PLDT Enterprise to install iGate and trunkline services, allowing smoother online bookings, uninterrupted staff communications, and more efficient coordination for events.
General Manager Clive Aranha said reliable connectivity has become an essential component of modern hospitality. “When I joined Hotel Casiana, I made it a point to identify recurring issues raised by our guests, and one of the most pressing was connectivity. Thankfully, we were able to partner with PLDT Enterprise, who provided reliable solutions like iGate. This significantly improved our Wi-Fi, which is critical in today’s guest experience,” he said.
Aranha noted that digital integration has also enabled the hotel to pursue eco-friendly practices such as QR code-based services and explore innovations like artificial intelligence. Since upgrading its systems, the hotel now attributes about 12 percent of its annual bookings to online platforms.
The property, which caters to families, corporate teams, and eventgoers, also reported plans to expand with a new hotel in Mexico, Pampanga, in 2026. Aranha said the upcoming property will carry forward both the brand’s service ethos and its digital partnerships.
PLDT Enterprise Vice President Jay Lagdameo said the partnership illustrates how regional tourism can benefit from stable connectivity and digital tools. “Hotel Casiana exemplifies how hospitality is evolving with the help of reliable technology. We’re proud to support their journey in delivering outstanding guest experiences,” Lagdameo said.
Industry observers note that hotels in regional growth centers like Tagaytay increasingly rely on technology not only for operational efficiency but also to ensure competitiveness in a market where travelers expect seamless connectivity alongside traditional Filipino hospitality.
