DPWH undertakes bridge widening in Quirino Province.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark A. Villar announced that the widening of Angad Bridge in Aglipay, Quirino will be completed this month of December 2020.

“We are fast-tracking the completion of the Angad Bridge widening despite the recent typhoons as these additional lanes on both sides are expected to ease congestion and improve delivery of services in the province”, said Secretary Villar.

The widening of the 215-meter Angad Bridge along Cordon-Aurora Boundary Road (Isabela Boundary-Junction Dumabato) amounted to P19.44 million under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2020.

Earlier, DPWH Quirino District Engineer Marifel Andes represented Secretary Villar in the inauguration of the newly-widened Divila Bridge in the Municipality of Cabbaroguis to enable more convenient access for residents in the provincial capital.

With a total project cost of P27.2-million, the new Divila Bridge involved construction of two (2) abutments, concrete railings, and stone masonry as slope protection.(DPWH)
