On 29 April 2025, Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Deputy Director General for Operations Vivian S. Santos served as one of the speakers and panelists in the Procurement and Supply Institute of Asia (PASIA) event held at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.
In her presentation, DDG Santos highlighted the Philippines' strategic location and growing importance in global supply chains. She presented PEZA’s forward-looking strategies—centered on digital transformation, infrastructure expansion, regulatory reforms, and multi-industry infrastructure convergence as key enablers in establishing the country as a premier logistics investment hub in Asia.
DDG Santos joined DTI Undersecretary Mary Jean Pacheco and Department of Agriculture Assistant Secretary Daniel Atayde during the panel discussion wherein they shared insights on how the Philippines can harness innovation, policy reform, and interagency cooperation to position the country as the logistics gateway of Asia-Pacific."
With the theme, "Logistics in a Rapidly Changing World: New Regulations, Trade Wars, Geopolitics, AI, Sustainability, Talent, Technology, and Disruptions," the event brought together key stakeholders to tackle the evolving landscape of global logistics and trade and discuss strategies to facilitate the growth of the Philippines logistics industry. #
