Hotel101 Global Holdings Corporation, a subsidiary of DoubleDragon Corporation, is set to make its historic debut on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange on June 27, 2025, becoming the first Filipino-owned hotel brand to be listed in the United States.
The company will trade under the stock symbol HBNB with an equity valuation of $2.3 billion. This listing follows the United States Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) recent approval of Hotel101 Global’s registration statement tied to its business combination with JVSPAC Acquisition Corp.
Hotel101 operates a standardized, asset-light "condotel" model and positions itself as a property technology innovator aiming for global scalability. The business model, developed by DoubleDragon co-founders Tony Tan Caktiong and Edgar “Injap” Sia II, has been touted as a potential major source of dollar inflows into the Philippines through overseas expansion.
“Hotel101 is poised to become a major brand export of the Philippines,” the company stated, emphasizing the scalability of its model across international markets.
In line with this vision, Hotel101 recently entered into a joint venture agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Horizon Group to build up to 10,000 hotel rooms across the Kingdom, in projects valued at $2.5 billion. The first phase will focus on five cities: Medina, Riyadh, Jeddah, Abha, and Alula.
The Saudi-based Horizon Group, led by Khaled and Abdulrahman Sharbatly and Wael Daqal, is known for its strong affiliations with Alnahla Group and SAMACO, with particular emphasis on hospitality and manufacturing ventures.
Hotel101 says its expansion into Saudi Arabia underscores its commitment to delivering a globally uniform and tech-enabled hospitality experience, with each project averaging 500 rooms to meet rising regional demand.
The Nasdaq listing is expected to accelerate Hotel101’s international footprint and enhance investor interest in one of the Philippines’ boldest hospitality ventures to date.
