Ayala group plans launch of new hotel brand

The Ayala Group is set to introduce a new hotel brand as part of its strategy to enhance its hospitality offerings.

According to The STAR, the conglomerate is actively working on developing this brand. "We are in the process of expanding our current portfolio of brands and services at Ayala Land Hospitality," the company stated.

While specific details about the new brand are still under wraps, Ayala Land Hospitality confirmed that further information will be shared once plans are finalized.

As the hospitality division of Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), Ayala Land Hospitality encompasses a diverse range of accommodations, from luxury hotels to contemporary urban lifestyle properties, catering to various types of travelers.

The company operates the homegrown Seda Hotels brand, which boasts a network of 12 locations across the Philippines. Its portfolio also includes notable properties such as El Nido Resorts in Palawan, Raffles Makati, Fairmont Makati, and Holiday Inn and Suites. Notably, the Mandarin Oriental is expected to reopen in Makati by 2026.

ALI aims to significantly expand its hospitality portfolio, targeting to double its room inventory to 8,000 by 2028. To facilitate this growth, the company has allocated P7 billion for the renovation and enhancement of Seda Hotels and El Nido Resorts over the next two to three years.

Under the leadership of its newly appointed president and CEO, George Aquino, Ayala Land Hospitality is setting ambitious goals to establish itself as a leading hotel operator in the country. "Our aim is to be a premier hotel company in the Philippines. We are committed to growth, with a strong emphasis on delivering quality experiences for both our guests and employees," Aquino remarked.

Earlier this year, Ayala Land Hospitality also entered into an agreement with the International Finance Corporation, marking its commitment to achieve EDGE Zero Carbon certification for 11 hotel buildings, comprising 2,826 rooms, by 2026—a pioneering effort among hotel groups in the Philippines.
