Filipino real estate group Filipino Homes introduces Bayanihan.com—an online portal connecting Filipinos worldwide with cultural festivals and events.

The platform will function as a comprehensive directory, offering event organizers a space to promote their festivals and celebrations on both local and international stages. Bayanihan.com, launched in October 2024, is user-friendly and free to use.

Uniting the diaspora

It aims to unite the Filipino diaspora by providing a platform to promote cultural events, helping Filipinos around the world stay connected to their heritage.

"Our goal is to bridge Filipinos across the globe by celebrating and promoting the vibrant Filipino culture," said Filipino Homes founder Anthony Gerard O. Leuterio. "Bayanihan.com ensures every Filipino celebration, from a small local fiesta to a grand international festival, receives the attention it deserves."

Event organizers can post detailed festival information, including photos and updates, allowing cross-promotion in other countries. The website also aims to help organizers attract sponsorships and secure financial support to enhance their events' visibility and impact.

"Bayanihan.com provides event organizers with the tools they need to reach a broader audience and attract financial backing from sponsors, ultimately enhancing their events and drawing more exhibitors," Leuterio said.

Community hub

The platform also serves as a community hub for Filipinos and cultural enthusiasts to engage, share experiences, and participate in discussions about various cultural celebrations. It emphasizes fostering the Filipino spirit of bayanihan — a sense of unity and collaboration — while helping preserve and promote the country's rich traditions for future generations.

Growing audience

Bayanihan.com's launch coincides with a surge in overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), a significant portion of the platform's target audience. Data from Statista showed there were about 2.33 million OFWs in 2023, nearly double the previous year's figure. The platform seeks to cater to this growing population, ensuring Filipinos abroad remain connected to their cultural roots.

The site is officially registered and patented with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO), demonstrating its commitment to providing a secure and accessible space for both organizers and users.

Leuterio said Bayanihan.com's mission extends beyond just being an event listing site. "Our vision is to create a space where Filipinos can come together, celebrate their heritage, and stay connected, no matter where they are in the world," he said.
