Bong Go files bill to speed up Real Estate Salesperson Licensing

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, embodying his trademark approachability and earnest public service, delivered another robust session today focused on restoring public trust—addressing alleged irregularities in citizenship and infrastructure malfeasance.

Amid these critical discussions, Senator Go introduced the fourth batch of bills for 2025, prominently featuring Senate Bill No. 1292 — the Real Estate Salesperson Registration Speed Act of 2025. The measure aims to dramatically accelerate the licensing process for real estate salespersons, a move poised to benefit thousands of aspiring professionals as well as the property market at large.

Under current regulations, real estate salespersons must complete stringent licensing steps enforced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), including application, documentation, and accreditation processes. SB 1292 proposes to simplify and expedite these steps—potentially through online platforms, reduced paperwork, and shorter approval timelines—enabling salespersons to become fully registered in weeks rather than months.

For the thriving real estate sector, this bill is transformative. It promises to unlock pent-up demand, allowing motivated individuals to serve clients faster, drive housing and development sales, and contribute to economic momentum. By lowering administrative barriers, it cultivates a new generation of licensed professionals—elevating service standards and expanding market participation.

Following the session, Senator Go greeted visitors with warm selfies and candid conversations—earning smiles and reinforcing why many refer to him as “Mr. Malasakit” (Mr. Empathy). His active advocacy continues to combine heartfelt public connection with meaningful change.Article Details
