Clark International Airport (CRK) marked a milestone year in 2024, achieving remarkable growth in passenger traffic and flight operations. This performance underscores its role as a premier aviation hub in the Philippines.

The airport served 2.4 million passengers in 2024, reflecting a 20% increase from the previous year. Of these, 35% were domestic travelers, while 65% comprised international passengers.

Flight activity also surged, with CRK handling 19,221 flights—a 29% year-on-year rise. Domestic routes accounted for 47% of the flights, while 53% were international.

Domestic passenger numbers jumped by 32%, and international passenger traffic grew by 15%. Similarly, domestic flight operations experienced a 56% increase, complemented by a 12% uptick in international flights.

“These figures go beyond mere statistics; they reflect the unwavering dedication of our team and partners in making Clark International Airport a critical gateway for the Philippines,” said Noel Manankil, CEO of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), which manages CRK.

Manankil emphasized the airport’s commitment to delivering top-tier service while collaborating with government stakeholders to drive regional development and enhance global connectivity.

Recognized Excellence

In 2024, CRK earned the title of International Airport of the Year – Philippines at the prestigious TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards – Asia. The accolade celebrated the airport’s transformative contributions to the aviation sector and its exceptional service to passengers.

CRK’s innovative approach includes implementing Minimum Performance Specifications and Standards (MPSS), which set benchmarks for operational efficiency and service quality. Regular audits by Airports Council International (ACI) and robust passenger feedback mechanisms ensure the airport meets global standards and continuously improves the travel experience.

As a member of ACI, which represents over 2,100 airports worldwide, Clark International Airport remains committed to upholding industry best practices. This dedication strengthens its role as a vital link for local and international travelers, fostering connectivity and regional growth.
