The country’s leading group of mass housing developers has commended the Pag-IBIG Fund for its historic performance in the first half of 2025, citing the agency’s role as a reliable pillar in the housing finance sector.
The Organization of Socialized and Economic Housing Developers of the Philippines (OSHDP) praised Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta for her “exemplary leadership,” which it said has delivered record-breaking results anchored on transparency, prudence, and compassion.
“Manang Malen’s leadership has been nothing short of exemplary. Under her watch, Pag-IBIG Fund has solidified its role as a pillar of stability and innovation in housing finance,” said OSHDP Chairman Gino Olivares.
Pag-IBIG Fund recently reported several milestones, including surpassing the %u20B11.14-trillion mark in total assets, achieving a record %u20B128.04 billion net income for the first half of the year, and securing its 13th consecutive unmodified opinion from the Commission on Audit—affirming its fiscal integrity and sound management.
OSHDP also highlighted the agency’s housing initiatives that directly impact communities nationwide. These include the 3% interest rate for 10 years for the first 30,000 borrowers under the Expanded 4PH Program, inclusion of Pag-IBIG acquired assets under 4PH with discounts of up to 40%, the launch of the Short-Term Home Improvement Loan, and enhancements to the Rental Housing Financing Program for transient workers.
The organization further cited Pag-IBIG’s swift calamity response measures, such as moratoriums, deployment of Lingkod Pag-IBIG On Wheels, and improved calamity loan access.
“These initiatives are transforming lives in communities across the country,” said OSHDP National President Charlie Tan. “They resonate deeply with our shared vision of dignified, decent, and affordable housing for all. We are proud to work alongside Pag-IBIG Fund in turning these goals into reality.”
OSHDP vowed to continue its partnership with Pag-IBIG Fund in advancing the Expanded 4PH Program and other housing initiatives to address the country’s housing backlog.
“Integrity, vision, and empathy—these define Manang Malen’s leadership,” Olivares added. “She has our trust, our confidence, and our commitment to stand with her in delivering a better future for every Filipino worker.”
