Developer welcomes John Richard Sotelo as new chief marketing officer

Filinvest Development Corp. (FDC) has appointed John Richard B. Sotelo as its new Chief Marketing Officer, adding an accomplished industry leader to its executive team.

The appointment, confirmed by the board on Aug. 13, 2025, comes shortly after Sotelo stepped down from his senior role at Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC), where he served as senior vice president, chief marketing officer, and business unit general manager for RLC Residences. Under his leadership since 2021, the division posted record-breaking sales and garnered multiple industry awards.

Sotelo’s career spans nearly two decades, beginning in business analytics before transitioning to senior marketing and business development roles in leading consumer goods and technology companies including Procter & Gamble, L’Oreal, Samsung, and Electrolux.

FDC, part of the Gotianun Group, operates across real estate, banking, hospitality, and infrastructure. The company described Sotelo’s appointment as part of its strategy to strengthen its leadership bench, sharpen brand positioning, and sustain growth in an increasingly competitive property market.
