The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and Real Estate News Media Products Inc., the company behind REN PH, the leading real estate news portal in the country, signed a memorandum of understanding to promote the Philippines as an investment destination.

PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga and REN PH Chairman Alejandro S. Mañalac finalize their partnership with the signing of the MOU on August 2, 2024, at the PEZA Office in Pasay City.

Under the agreement, REN PH will serve as a PEZA investment promotion partner (IPP). The two parties will cooperate to attract investment by promoting PEZA and its economic zones through REN PH’s online platform.

Specifically, the two parties agreed to cooperate and collaborate to encourage and increase investments by promoting positive news, information and updates related to PEZA's activities, developments and contributions to the Philippine economy and by providing comprehensive coverage and analysis of key economic sectors including business, construction, architecture, real estate, infrastructure and related industries through REN PH's online platform.

REN PH, founded in 2020 by Realtor Alejandro Mañalac, offers real estate news and information. It has networks in trade and commerce that can help promote investment in PEZA ecozones.

PEZA is the government agency tasked with operating and developing economic zones to attract foreign and local investors. The agency launched the investment promotion partnership program to collaborate with individuals and organizations to promote PEZA ecozones.

Section 2 of Republic Act. 7916, or “The Economic Zone Act of 1995”, as amended, encourages the government to actively encourage, promote, induce and accelerate a sound and balanced industrial, economic and social development of the country.

PEZA, consistent with its mandate to provide investments, exports, jobs and other economic opportunities, launched the investment promotion partnership program (IPP program) where it works with natural and juridical persons to actively promote the ecozones, locally and abroad, as an attractive investment destination.

PEZA and REN PH also agreed to explore opportunities for joint initiatives, projects, events and collaborations aimed at promoting public awareness, understanding and appreciation of the contributions of PEZA and related stakeholders to the Philippine economy, including but not limited to seminars, workshops, forums, roundtable discussions and promotional campaigns.

The two parties will explore joint initiatives to promote public awareness of PEZA’s contributions to the economy. They will also exchange information and collaborate on investment-related activities.
