PHINMA Corporation has invested another P300 million in Saludad township development in Bacolod City.
The company, through its real estate arm PHINMA Property Holdings Corp (PHINMA Properties), disclosed to the stock exchange that the funds will partially finance ongoing construction of the 21-hectare mixed-use project.
The P12 billion development is a partnership with Bacolod-based property firm JEPP Real Estate Co.
"This new P300-million investment will allow PHINMA Properties to sustain the favorable market momentum for our Saludad project in Bacolod," said PHINMA chairman and chief executive Ramon R. del Rosario, Jr. "This signifies the PHINMA Group's stronger commitment to the Bacolod community and nearby areas by promoting economic development and creating new livelihood opportunities."
Saludad, the PHINMA Group’s first township, integrates its core services including hospitality, education, and construction.
The project features TRYP by Wyndham Bacolod, the township’s anchor hotel, expected to break ground soon, and a campus for Southwestern University PHINMA, its first location outside Cebu City. Construction materials from the PHINMA Construction Materials Group will be used in the development.
"We're creating a lively, sustainable community for our beloved Bacolodnons where they can easily access essentials to dignified lives," said PHINMA Properties president and CEO Raphael B. Felix. "Saludad combines the best offerings of the PHINMA Group with the city's rich heritage and beautiful sceneries, amidst its fast-growing economy — this marriage of tradition and modernity makes it distinctly Bacolod. As we say, Aton Ini."
Beyond residences, the township will feature business hubs, commercial centers, and retail spaces. Construction is in full swing, with the first phase in the southern section slated for completion by the first quarter of 2026. Phase two, in the northern portion, is expected to be completed by 2028.
