Collins aerospace unveils locally-made PAL cabin seats

On November 13, the first locally-manufactured cabin seats for Philippine Airlines (PAL), produced by Collins Aerospace, underwent Article Inspection at the company's facility in the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Batangas. The event was graced by Cristy Cañete, Group Manager of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), marking a historic achievement for the country’s aerospace supply chain.

This milestone highlights a pivotal moment for the Philippine aerospace sector, as the flagship carrier, PAL, incorporates "Made in the Philippines" seating products for the first time. The development symbolizes the nation's growing capability to compete in the high-value aerospace manufacturing industry.

Collins Aerospace, a British-registered PEZA locator since 2010, has been a key player in commercial aircraft galley production. Its Batangas operations, launched in 2012 and recognized as one of the company's largest global sites, contribute significantly to local economic growth and job creation.
