The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) awarded Texas Instruments (TI) Philippines Inc. with the prestigious Billionaires' Award, recognizing the company’s outstanding export performance in 2024.
The award was formally presented by PEZA Director General Tereso O. Panga to TI Vice President and Country Manager Tai-Hsang Chen during a courtesy visit at the PEZA Head Office on March 24, 2025. TI Baguio Country Manager Parthiben Kumaran and key executives joined the ceremony, along with PEZA’s top leadership.
TI Philippines, a global semiconductor leader operating in the country since 1979, has been a consistent recipient of the Billionaires' Award for 11 straight years, exporting an average of $3 billion annually. The award honors companies exporting goods or services worth at least $2.5 billion per year.
“Texas Instruments has long been a cornerstone of PEZA’s success, not only as an exporter but also as a partner in sustainable development and community engagement,” said Panga.
The multinational firm was also previously inducted into PEZA’s Hall of Fame for Outstanding Exporter, Community Project, and Environmental Performance in 1999, 2000, and 2007, respectively.
To honor PEZA’s continued support—especially during the COVID-19 pandemic—TI presented a symbolic plaque made of a 300mm wafer chip to Panga and PEZA officials, recognizing their role in enabling uninterrupted operations during challenging times.
With a cumulative investment of over %u20B167 billion and a workforce of more than 3,000 Filipinos, TI continues to expand its footprint in the country. The company remains at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, focusing on edge AI, real-time control, and advanced processors, further solidifying the Philippines’ role in global electronics manufacturing.
