Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI) has partnered with global hospitality group Hilton to operate a new 400-room hotel in Makati under the Canopy by Hilton brand, the companies announced on Wednesday.
Scheduled to open in 2026, the property will be part of the One Ayala development, a mixed-use hub in the heart of the Makati central business district.
"We're thrilled to team up with Hilton to bring Canopy's vibrant spirit to Manila," said George Aquino, president and chief executive officer of Ayala Land Hospitality. "It's not just about adding rooms—it’s about creating stays that spark curiosity and celebrate Filipino creativity."
The 24-story hotel will feature a variety of room types, a destination restaurant, a rooftop bar, and a hidden speakeasy. It will also include a pool deck, fitness center, and creative meeting spaces.
"Introducing our Canopy brand to the Philippines is a significant milestone," said Maria Arizumi, Hilton's Vice President of Development for South East Asia. "We believe Canopy’s lifestyle approach will resonate with both local and international guests."
The partnership is part of ALI's strategy to expand its hospitality portfolio and reinforce Makati’s position as a leading urban destination in Southeast Asia.
ALI, one of the Philippines' largest property developers, has committed to spending $500 million to double its hotel capacity to 8,000 keys by 2030. In recent months, the company also announced plans to bring Marriott’s Moxy brand to Circuit Makati and acquired the 578-room New World Hotel in Makati.
