LRA building portion burns

Fire burned a portion of the Land Registration Authority (LRA) building at the corner of East Avenue and NIA Road in Quezon City on Sunday morning.

Damaged during the blaze was the LRA’s Information Management Center, operated by a private subcontractor of the agency, at the second floor of the building.

Fire Chief Inspector Joseph del Mundo, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-QC chief of operations, said they have still to determine if the land titles at the LRA were affected in the incident.
No one was reported injured, while the cause of the fire is still being determined.

BFP said the blaze might have been caused by faulty electrical wiring.

Damage has been initially estimated at P20,000.
