DMCI Homes delivers record number of residential units in 2023

DMCI Homes, the property arm of conglomerate DMCHI Holdings Inc., achieved a new milestone in 2023, delivering a record 8,000 residential units to homebuyers, a 60% increase from the 5,000 units delivered in 2022.

"This marks the highest number of units ever turned over in the company's history," said Isidro A. Consunji, president and CEO of DMCHI Holdings, attributing the success to the completion of several major projects throughout the year.

DMCI Homes is now looking to diversify its portfolio in 2024, focusing on expanding its leisure development offerings. The company plans to launch a 40-hectare project in Los Baños, Laguna, aiming to "create a new market for affordable leisure projects," according to Consunji.

This follows the strong performance of similar projects in Baguio and San Juan, Batangas. Notably, the 7.5-hectare Solmera Coast project in Batangas garnered P5.6 billion in reservation sales within just a month of its launch.

Encouraged by the positive response, DMCI Homes is finalizing plans for another leisure project in Laguna, featuring condotels, villas, and various recreational activities.

"Venturing into leisure development is part of our overall strategy to diversify into other property offerings as the affordable residential market reaches a saturation point," explained Consunji.

Furthermore, in December 2023, DMCI Homes partnered with Japan's Marubeni Corp. to develop Valeron Tower, a 55-storey residential condominium in Pasig City targeting the growing Metro Manila homebuyer market. The project features 1,962 units and marks another collaboration between the two companies, who have partnered on projects like the LRT Line 2 East Extension Project and the Maynilad Water Services, Inc. consortium, as well as recent initiatives in reforestation and plantation development in Negros Occidental.
