PUEBLO DE ORO Development Corporation (PDO), a leading property development company under the ICCP Group, remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering women through initiatives that enhance their skills and knowledge. These programs play a vital role in strengthening women’s contributions to the development of their families and communities.
Through its corporate social responsibility arm, the ICCP Group Foundation, Inc. (IGFI), in collaboration with various local government units and civic organizations, Pueblo de Oro continues to spearhead programs designed to create meaningful and lasting impacts, particularly in supporting the livelihoods of underprivileged women.
One of its flagship programs, Ganda Mo, Hanapbuhay Ko, launched in partnership with sister company Science Park of the Philippines, Inc. (SPPI) and the Ang Hortaleza Foundation Inc. (AHFI), has been transforming lives since 2018. Now in its seventh year, the program has successfully expanded from Sto. Tomas and Malvar, Batangas, to Cabuyao and Calamba, Laguna, and recently to Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu. The initiative equips women with training in basic cosmetology, covering essential skills such as manicures, pedicures, foot spa treatments, hairstyling, and makeup.
Another initiative, Kabalikat sa Negosyo, also in partnership with SPPI and AHFI, has empowered unemployed mothers with essential entrepreneurial skills. Since its launch in 2021, the program has benefited families in San Fernando, Pampanga, helping them establish small businesses and gain financial independence.
Meanwhile, Gabay sa Kabuhayan, a livelihood assistance program in collaboration with Odyssey Foundation, Inc. (OFI), supports marginalized families through food safety seminars and training in managing food cart businesses. It also provides unemployed women in Malvar, Batangas, with food products and essential cooking equipment to jumpstart their ventures.
Across multiple project areas, including Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Pampanga, and Batangas, Pueblo de Oro organizes Kaagapay Sa Hanap-Buhay: Livelihood for Women, offering training in various livelihood activities such as scrap collection, sewing, food vending, bread and pastry production, and the making of household products like dishwashing liquid, car shampoo, and fabric conditioner.
To further support these women, PDO provides pangkabuhayan packages, enabling them to start their own businesses. Additionally, the developer and its partners offer mentorship and continuous monitoring to ensure the long-term sustainability of their ventures.
Recognized for its pioneering and innovative environmentally protective measures, PDO extends its commitment beyond real estate development by fostering inclusive growth in its communities. Through job creation, skills training, and capacity-building programs, the company continues to uplift the lives of mothers and women in its adopted communities, ensuring they have access to sustainable opportunities for a brighter future.
