Azela Torrefranca Esponilla Honor emerges as a beacon of excellence in Philippine real estate—...
A major milestone in the development of Avia Estate in Alabel, Sarangani was reached on August 11, 2025, with the opening of The Abba’s Orchard School, the region’s first authentic Montessori institution.
The Abba’s Orchard is known for its high-fidelity Montessori approach, offering programs from infancy to adolescence, including the distinctive Erdkinder program that combines classroom instruction with practical experiences in a farm-based learning environment. The new campus in Avia Estate will initially cater to preschool to Grade 3 students, with expansion plans for higher levels in the coming years.
“This is more than just a school; it is a space where children grow through meaningful and authentic experiences,” said Chris Barrameda, President and Founding Director of The Abba’s Orchard. He noted that the partnership with Avia Estate will allow more families across SOCCSKSARGEN access to quality Montessori education.
The project was made possible through a two-hectare land donation by township developer Alsons Development and Investment Corporation, underscoring its commitment to integrating education into its master-planned communities.
Avia Estate President and CEO Miguel Rene A. Dominguez said the school strengthens the estate’s vision of being a well-rounded, future-ready community: “Quality educational institutions are essential pillars of thriving communities.”
The school opening comes as Avia Estate continues to grow into a dynamic township. Recent milestones include the turnover of the Alabel Public Safety & Security Complex, the upcoming opening of the football field this September, and progress on the estate’s main spine road and commercial areas. The first residential units in Narra Park Residences Avia are also scheduled for turnover starting early 2026.
With the addition of The Abba’s Orchard School, Avia Estate is positioning itself not only as a residential enclave but as a hub for education, recreation, and community life in Sarangani.
