53 new projects added to PPP pipeline 

The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center said 53 projects were added in the pipeline for undertaking between the government and the private sector, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.

Data released by the PPP Center showed that this brings the total number of projects in the pipeline to 230 with a total value of P2.61 trillion.

These projects include the Rizal Park Western Development Project, Power Generation and Distribution in San Vicente Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone, Customs Processing System, Kingsfield Gold and Leisure Cebu, PPP for the Entire Air Navigation Services in the Philippines, Clark Integrated Transport System, Philippine Postal Corporation Public Private Partnership and Postal Identity Card Proposal, New Clark City Information and Communications Technology Passive Infrastructure, Bidding for the Management and Operations of Cargo Handling and Other Port Related Services of the Port of General Santos, and Bidding for the management and operations of cargo handling and other port related services for the clustered Ports of Balingoan and Jasaan.

Bidding for the management and operations of cargo handling and other port related services for several ports were also added.

The PPP Center said other projects added to the pipeline include the development of a constellation of Earth observation satellite, development of a telecommunication satellite, Project Iloilo General Hospital, and Tabaco City 4PH Project.

Nine projects, meanwhile, were delisted following coordination with the appropriate implementing agencies.

Delisted projects include the Baguio-Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program, MMSU 2MWp Solar PV System, Bulk Water Supply System, Solar Rooftop Project, Mariveles Dialysis Center, Bataan Rooftop Microgrid Project, Bataan Emerging Gateways City, Operation and Maintenance with Improvement and Expansion Arrangement of the Port of General Santos Project, and Manila Central Post Office Project.

The development of water supply for the municipality of Mangatarem in Pangasinan province was also removed from the pipeline database following its award and is now reflected in the PPP Center database of projects under implementation.
